Peterson Hook 1 DCAP Govt. Steel

A$19.00

Our DCAP Series Picks are made to incorporate a dramatically reduced "shank" height to address pinning strategies intended to be restrictive, for traditional pick designs. Typically these Deep Cut Access Picks address the issues encountered when a key has it's deepest cuts close to the bow of the key. Many locksmiths actually pin their own locks this way due to the fact that when you pick a lock the front pins tend to pick first. As you work your way to the back of the lock the shank of your pick can tend to over drive the front pins and spoil your chancres of success. I have personally encountered this problem, and it explains comments I hear from time to time of "It was a simple "X" brand lock, and I just couldn't pick it!" Our Euro designs have reduced the occurrences of this problem somewhat, but it still exists. This is a GSP Plastic Handle (Government Steel Plastic) product. The hard fiber filled handles readily transmit every vibration from your picking, and the pick's light weight makes it extremely agile and responsive. proprietary Our Government steel is a legend in itself: Our proprietary steel is high tensile, but at the same time it is ductile instead of brittle. The textured handles insure your grip is secure.
